The Tea House.

Tea is a way of life here and many people dont start their day without a few cups of tea. We stopped at a very nice Tea House and Bonzai garden on the way back from White Cloud Mountain. We were shown by the owner how to pick out a good tea pot and it was quite interesting. Afterwards we sat at large wooden tables and women prepared all different teas for us to try. We were told what teas could help you with your heart, mind and spirit. How to drink the tea with three fingers from very small cups, in 3 sips to finish the cup. It was facinating. Auntie Robyn would have loved it. We bought a tea pot and cup for us, plus a tea set for Hailey. Then we walked the Bonzai garden by a small lake. It was beautiful, with the sun shining off the water. It is the kind of place where you could spend all day with a good book. Apparently the Bonzai tree originated in China and was stolen by the Japanese. We were feeling pretty tired and went back to the hotel. On the trip home, Little Monkey fell asleep in her Bijorn and i managed to lay her down for an afternoon snooze. Ma Ma had a shopping date with some of the other Mothers to buy things for the Orphanage. Wasnt she surprised to come home and find Monkey and Daddy still asleep at 4pm! Daddy missed the bottle.

Love Alex, Jason & Hailey.

Sounds awesome. Again, hope you took lots of pics (though, having traveled with you, I'm pretty confident you have...). Did you try green and white teas? Can't wait to talk to you and be able to ask the millions of questions I have as I travel along with you in your stories.

Miss you tons and wish I could be there!
love Robyn

Ni-how, boy you have been so busy yet your blogging is sounding a lot more positive for which I am very happy. The trip to Hailey's orphanage will be very emotional for all of you and will provide you with stories for Hailey as she grows up. It will mean so much to her that you wanted to learn about her and have a better understanding of the first year of her life. It brings tears and shivers thinking about it.

Your recaps sound like you are bonding well and learning so much together. The biased Mother in me says how could she not love you both so very much, she can feel and see the love that you share for each other that has now grown to surround and include her.

I think that your sore throats are likely due to pollution/smog and hope that they will not materialize into more than that.

Take good care, stay safe, and enjoy! Keep blogging - we love it! Wha-i-ni!
